Yes! Creating an account and browsing the library is completely free. You can download free samples at no cost. Premium packs are available for purchase at prices set by their creators.
Yes, you need a free SampleVault account to download samples. This helps us track your downloads, manage your library, and ensure fair usage across the platform.
We primarily support WAV files, which provide uncompressed, studio-quality audio. Uploaded samples must be in WAV format. Some packs may also include additional formats as specified by the seller.

Navigate to your Dashboard and click "Upload." You can drag and drop your audio files or click to browse. Fill in the required metadata including title, genre, BPM, and key, then publish your sample.
Samples must be in WAV format, at least 16-bit depth, with a sample rate of 44.1kHz or higher. Maximum file size is 100MB per sample. Files must be original content that you have the rights to distribute.
No. You may only upload samples that you created or that you have explicit rights to distribute. Uploading copyrighted material without permission violates our Terms of Service and may result in account suspension.
After upload, samples go through automatic processing which includes waveform generation, format validation, and audio fingerprinting. This typically takes less than a minute per sample.
Yes, you can delete your uploaded samples at any time from your Dashboard. Note that users who have already downloaded your sample will retain their copies, but the sample will no longer be available for new downloads.
Browse the marketplace, find a pack you like, and click "Buy." You will be directed to a secure checkout powered by Stripe where you can complete your purchase with a credit card or other supported payment method.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our payment processor, Stripe. Additional payment methods may be available depending on your region.
Due to the digital nature of our products, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you experience a technical issue or receive a product that does not match its description, please contact our support team within 14 days of purchase.
After purchase, packs are immediately available in your Dashboard under "Downloads." You can download the complete ZIP file containing all samples in the pack at any time.
All pack purchases are one-time payments. There are no recurring fees or subscriptions required. Once you buy a pack, you own a license to use those samples forever.
To sell packs on SampleVault, you need to apply for Certified Seller status. Navigate to the "Become a Seller" page, complete the application with your portfolio and experience details, and our team will review your application.
SampleVault takes a 30% commission on each sale, and you keep 70%. This commission covers payment processing, hosting, platform maintenance, and marketing support.
Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. Once your earnings reach the minimum threshold, you can request a payout to your connected bank account. Processing typically takes 2-7 business days.
Yes, certified sellers have full control over pricing their packs. We recommend pricing competitively based on the number of samples, quality, and uniqueness of your content.
All samples in paid packs must be professionally produced, properly mastered, and free from artifacts or clipping. Samples must be original content. Our review process ensures consistent quality across the marketplace.
Free samples are provided under our Standard License, which allows personal and commercial use. You may use them in your music productions, modify and process them, and release tracks commercially. Attribution is appreciated but not required. Resale of the raw samples is not permitted.
Paid packs come with our Premium License, which grants personal and commercial use rights for unlimited projects. No attribution is required. The license is non-transferable, and redistribution or resale of the raw samples is prohibited.
Yes! Both free and paid samples can be used in commercial music productions, including songs released on streaming platforms, sync licensing, and client work. The key restriction is that you cannot resell or redistribute the raw, unmodified samples.
For free samples, attribution is appreciated but not required. For paid packs, no attribution or credit is needed. However, giving credit to talented sample creators is always a kind gesture that supports the community.
